This house seen short term tenants almost on a monthly basis. I don't see the need for a major house repair as small repairs after each tenant is inevitable. This owner decide its time for a big upgrade.
Everything was knocked out, even the floors. New floors and I have to repair and refit the kitchen.
Starting with the ceiling.
There was a lot of "sag" on the ceiling. I had to place bracing between the branding and trusses to get the sag out. I decided to block the ceiling for a better look and strength. Follow the photos.
After the ceiling... floating and scheming the walls.
This is hard labor. See video.
The owner of the house is chasing me around to then do this and that. I got fed-up and created a page with a timeline... and cost... Nothing get broken down. I only work on that time line.
For today, I floated the bathroom... and having a bit of mud left, did one wall in the passage.
Tomorrow bathroom will be sanded and painted.
Sanding after floating, before painting... awesome smooth walls!
This house had become a little more than just a kitchen...
Is it necessary to describe each photo?
The result is amazing. I think its important to mention... Stay away from colors when doing a house! White just look better and more practical to maintain and keep clean!
