Bathroom job.

Another bathroom job. The tiles fell off from the bath wall. The bath bench is too low for the elderly lady to stand back up.
My work will be to fix the bath front in such a way that a future bathroom fix can be done. Meaning all the tiles needs to be knocked off and the modern look tiling could be done. Keeping this in mind, I will only float the bath front.

The first layer of floating sanded and the second thin layer applied. The new bath bench of quality first grade SA Pine with rubbers to prevent sliding or damaging the bath finish.
The floating was done in such a way that in future new tiles can be placed.

In the olden days the use to "over tile" bathrooms and the newer look or tendencies is to use large tiles. The future of this bathroom would be something like this...

A "marble" look, by accident. I was very surprised once the floating dried. It almost looks like marble. This may be something to try in future. After floating like this, apply varnish to the wall...

This is a finish that I can experiment a bit, placing paint colorant in the final float to give that "marble effect. I have to admit... should such an idea work, it would be a real cheap solution to create a neat and unique bathroom finish.
